| 1. A way to the Andrei Sakharov museum in Moscow starts here. |
| 2. Museum is located in an old park.
|
3. The Andrei Sakharov museum building was built before the October Revolution. The banner at the front says: "Since 1994 a war goes in Chechnia. Enough!" Can you see the crosses in windows? This was the way glass was protected during nazis bomber rides on cities. |
| 4. As all societies, USSR had its own specific mythology and ideology represented in symbols. |
5. With this sculpture did author want to say that the soviets flied on the wooded wings with the weights attached? |
6. Caricatures on the stalinist soviet leaders meet you inside.
|
7. At the terrible wall. |
8. GPU strikes! "Death to saboteurs!" On the pictures: leaders of the Russian Revolution executed. One in the center helped Stalin in his struggle against Trotsky. He was executed by Stalin later. |
9. It is moving experience inside this walls. |
10. These are artifacts of GULAG life. One of the newspapers inside the window is called "Literature and art of BAMLAG". It is hard to believe that the slaves in this cloth on -40C ( -40F ) eating from this mugs and bowls were able to think about anything but survival. This is an extreme example of a typical method of soviet propaganda - direct lie, creation of an artificial world, inside which all citizen's minds must live either they want it or not. The country was totally devastated twice: during the Russian Civil War ( 1918-1921 ) and during the WWII ( 1939-1945 ). |
